Many patients like to know about the people behind their healthcare services. Here we will tell you a little about ourselves.


Katie Welch
Practice Administrator
Katie graduated summa cum laude from Regis University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration and Management.  She began her management career in 1980 as the General Manager of an Electric Company in Colorado.  Katie was also an accountant for the Coors Brewing Company for 13 years and even started her own consulting business in 1994.  Before joining Dr. Griner in October 2001, Katie served as the Practice Administrator for Cedar Valley Medical Specialists in Waverly, Iowa.  Katie's husband, Robert, is a Vestibular Therapist for Emory Universtiy and they have two children Christi and Haleigh. 


Sheila Lundy
Billing and Collections Administrator
Shiela has 20 years experience in the medical field and obtained her LPN in 1982.  She began her career with Dr. Griner in 1990, when the office was located on Fountain Drive.  Sheila has also served as the Precertification/ Referral Supervisor for a large Oncology Group before rejoining Dr. Griner as the Billing and Collections Administrator when she started Ear, Nose and Throat Associates in October of 2001.


Jill Kinchen
Front Office Specialist
Jill currently attends nursing school and hopes to become a Registered Nurse.  Prior to joining Ear, Nose and Throat Associates in October of 2001, Jill was employed as a receptionist for a family practice.  In addition to work and school, Jill enjoys spending time with her husband, Dustin, who is going to school to become an Electrical Engineer.


Jerry Tillery
Special Projects Coordinator
Jerry is currently attending Georgia State Univeristy to obtain his Master of Business Administration and Master of Healthcare Administration.  He graduated for the University of Georgia in 2001 with a Bachelor of Sciece degree in Biology and a minor in Spanish.  With his educational background, Jerry hopes to become hospital administrator.  During his time at Ear, Nose and Throat Associates, Jerry serves as the HIPAA Compliance Officer, Assistant to the Practice Administrator, and Web Page Developer. In addition to work and school, Jerry runs competively and loves to spend time with his Brittany Spaniel, Bailey. 


Vena Perry
Surgery Scheduler &
Medical Assistant
Vena began in the medical field in 1975 as a voluntary first-aid firefighter.  She later became certified as an emergency medical technician in 1976 and as a certified firefighter in 1978.  Throughout her career, Vena has worked as a medical assistant for a general medicine practice as well as working for Dr. Griner in her previous practice as a medical assistant and surgery scheduler.  After joining a large oncology practice for four years, Vena rejoined Dr. Griner when she began her new practice in 2001.  Vena has two daughters, Heather and Kelly, and is expecting her first grandchild in Spring 2003.


Donna Wimpey
Medical Assistant

Donna Padgett Wimpey began her training in the medical field in high school while working for her father at his practice in Hayesville, NC.  After high school, Donna attended Tri-County Community College, and continued to help her father run his practice.  Under the tutelage of this highly respected physician, Donna learned much about the clinical and business end of running a successful medical practice.  After her marriage, she worked in medical practices and hospitals in Idaho, Texas and Georgia.  Donna began her association with Dr. Nancy Griner in 1997 and has worked in the otolaryngology field for over 16 years.  In addition to work, Donna has been married to her husband, Kim Wimpey, for almost 25 years.  They have one son, Evan, age 16.  Donnas hobbies are gardening and watching Evan race for his high school Track and Cross Country team.
